Revlon Lipsticks

Every video I watch on YouTube, to every blog that I read always have something about bold lipsticks and the obsessions many have with the new drugstore  lip products. I jumped on the bandwagon and decided to purchase a few more from the drugstore to see what all this raving was about...

Trend Alert

If you haven't already seen all the continuous videos on YouTube or multiple blog posts about drugstore lip products, let me tell you a little secret. Recently, all the drugstore products have started to release new lip products ranging from new daring colors to lip crayons. Many YouTube stars have raved about the quality of all of these new products and so I wanted to see if the rave was worth it. Since all the drugstore brands released their own products, I will try to accumulate all the products over time, and conquering one brand at a time. I started of with Revlon because I already enjoyed their lip butters and wanted to try out the new colors.

Créme-Cherries in the Snow

Description

So I decided to purchase a orange, a red, and a purple color from Revlon. Their are over 82 shades and come in 4 different finishes: Pearl, Créme, Matte, and Shine. I prefer the Créme because they have the most vibrant color on my lips and are more true to color. Revlon  claims that their lipsticks are "silky-smooth and creamy". They are available almost anywhere and the price is great too!

Créme-Siren

My Thoughts

I absolutely love these lipsticks, however I only like the créme finishes. I ended up returning two other lipsticks I got because I HATED the pearl finish. But I am in love with the créme finishes. They compliment my skin color and are true to color. I think these three colors would compliment any skin color. All of these are really bold, so I would suggest wearing a neutral eye make up look with it.

Créme- Mauvy Night

Price

These lipsticks retail for $6.99 at any drugstore. I bought mine from ULTA and than used the $3.50 coupon so if you want to save even more money, I would suggest going to ULTA.

  2. Great post! I also love the bold and bright lip color trend. I wish I was more daring to pull it off, but I bought a bunch and am going to give it a try! I definitely agree with you, I'm not a huge fan of the pearl finish either. Creme finish is much prettier!

    1. Yes, I agree! And don't be afraid, the worse that can happen is that it doesn't look good and you can return it! Thanks!
